Private Events
Catnap is the perfect place to hold a private event or function - it doesn’t get much better than a venue with a whole lot of cute cats all to yourself! We take bookings for a variety of private events such as staff meetings or other small company events, social club hang outs, small school groups and rest home groups. This can be during our normal opening hours or after hours by arrangement. You can also book out a private event such as one of our movie nights.
Our event options and pricing guidelines are outlined below but we are happy to customise and work with you to accommodate special requests where possible. Final pricing will be confirmed once we have all the details of your event.
The cat area must remain a calm, quiet environment for our cats at all times. Please bear this in mind when booking as some groups may not be suitable for an event at Catnap.
Book a day time session
Book out a whole 55 minute day time session in the cat area for up to 12 people!
$190 weekdays, $240 weekends and school holidays. Includes $50 credit towards any food and drinks from the cafe.
Please note that this does not include booking out the cafe area. The cafe area can not be booked out during the day as we have limited space and need it free for other customers. You may, of course, still order drinks and food as per usual.
Please email us to arrange a private booking. Groups of 7 or more people must book a private session.
book an evening session
Book an evening visit for up to 14 people (12 for movies) for two hours. Includes full access to the cafe and cat areas.
Options include:
$250 - Book out the cat area. Just like a normal session, but for two hours and you have the whole place to yourselves!
$300 - Movie night or board game night. We will run your specified event and provide all the things you’ll need.
$350 - Drawing class or yoga. A professional instructor will take you through your chosen event and we will provide all the stuff you need.
Starts at 6:30pm. Available Saturday evenings.
Bookings essential, we recommend contacting us at least 4 weeks early to secure a specific date. Availability dependant on what other events we already have planned.

Important info
Children - Generally we can have up to 12 people in the cat area at once but for children 14 and under we do have lower limits, depending on ages. Please contact us before making any plans to make sure we can accommodate your booking. Children under 14 must be actively supervised by an adult and there must be at least one adult for every two children.
Food and drinks - Any food and drinks from outside the cafe may not be brought into the cat area. This includes birthday cakes.
