Come and hang out with our awesome cats! Relax with a hot drink, a snack and a bunch of adoptable kitties. Sessions start on the hour and run for 55 minutes. Please be aware children must be 5 or older to visit the cats.

Subsequent Sessions: Valid for weekdays only, excludes school holidays. After one full price booking, you can stay longer for $6 per extra hour, pending availability.

Student Deal: Valid for Wednesday and Friday only. Unlimited regular hot drinks for students during your visit. Mention this deal and provide student ID at the counter.

2-FOR-1 Thursdays: Bring a friend for free on Thursdays, use code ‘2FOR1’ when booking.

cat area requirements

The happiness and wellbeing of our cats is our absolute top priority. The below requirements are to ensure that they have the best possible time at Catnap, whether they are waiting for their forever home or living with us permanently.

We expect all visitors regardless of age to follow our rules. If you are bringing children, we ask you to consider their ability to follow our rules. If you are confident that they can, we would love to have them visit. If not, we kindly ask that you do not bring them.

Children must be 5 or older to enter the cat area. We have made the decision not to allow young children into the cat area for the wellbeing of our cats. Their happiness is our top priority.

Children 14 years and under must have adult supervision. The adult must be 18 or older. This is not negotiable so please do not book your children in by themselves. If they turn up without an adult, we won’t be able to let them through. There must be at least one adult to every two children. Parents / caregivers must maintain constant and active supervision over children at all times, this is not a place for adults to catch up while leaving children to their own devices.

We require all customers, young and old, to keep calm and quiet in the cat area. Loud noises (including outbursts of excitement) scare the cats and they will hide which means no one enjoys themselves, especially the cats! We are quite strict about noise levels so please do not bring anyone if they are not able to stay calm and quiet.

By entering the cat area you are accepting all risks involved. Our cats are carefully chosen and monitored to ensure they are comfortable being in the cafe environment. However, they are rescue cats and depending on how long they have been with us, some of them are still warming up to humans, each other and the environment. They can also be unpredictable at times - there is always the possibility that they could scratch, bite or try to climb you as well as the risk of zoonotic diseases. We also take on many cats with disabilities and they can sometimes have issues with coordination.

Generally the cats are most active early in the morning. If you want to visit when they are the most playful, the earlier the better! They tend to rest during our mid-afternoon sessions and usually perk back up late afternoon. Having said that, they are cats and their routine can be a little unpredictable!

We have a limit on the amount of people in the cat area at any one time so bookings are highly recommended, especially on weekends and during school holidays. Bookings are for a period of 55 minutes. Walk-ins are more than welcome as long as we have free space to fit you in. If you just want to pop into the cafe area and don't plan on visiting the cats feel free, there's no need to make a booking.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your booking time to ensure we can get you in to the cat area on time. Your 55 minutes starts from your booking time, not from when you arrive. If your booking is at 10am, please note that we do not open the doors until 9:45am. We ask that you do not arrive earlier than this as we are busy with cleaning and setting up.

If you need to change or cancel a booking, you can do this by clicking the link at the bottom of your booking email or calling us on 03 260 2287. We require at least 24 hours notice to cancel a booking.

If you or anyone in your booking are unwell, we kindly ask you to reschedule your booking, this is to ensure the wellbeing of both our customers and staff. Please be aware that we still require 24 hours notice.
